The Poli Time Machine

During the fifty years of the Poli brand, this ever-popular chicken sausage has experienced a lot. It has expanded its Poli family with new products, entertained consumers with unforgettable creative ads and conquered foreign markets. All sorts of things have happened. During this anniversary year, we wanted to present Poli’s most important milestones to a wider audience. The biggest challenge was how to make looking back in time interesting and far from boring.

What’s the easiest way to travel back to the year 1975, when Poli was created? With a time machine, of course. We have designed a proper, totally unique machine that instantly transports users backwards in time. We worked on our time machine idea together with experts in innovative product development and VR animation. To make it faster and easier to go back in time, we added some very special elements from the production machines that are used to make Poli.

The Poli Time Machine is an impressive invention activated simply by sitting on it and putting on a VR headset. At the touch of a button, the time machine users are transported to 1974, where they end up in an apartment typical of that time. By walking around the room and activating the content sets, the users travel around a map showing Poli’s global conquests, stopping at the most important milestones, watching some iconic TV ads and sale growths over the years, before taking a peek into the fridge where all the Poli goodies are kept.

The Poli Time Machine was first presented at a Perutnina Ptuj press conference, where it was confirmed that there is a huge interest in backward time travel. The invention has become a veritable sensation; time travellers queue up for a unique experience wherever the time machine shows up. To make sure that those who will not get to experience the time machine in person can get a glimpse into Poli’s past, we have put the Poli living room experience on the website.
